One of the quickest and most convenient ways to get around downtown London is to take the train in to Fulham Station and then commission the services of a car hire company for personal transport where you need to go. With this being such a useful and common practice, many of the car hire companies surrounding Fulham Station even provide rates for car hire by the hour instead of just by the day.
There are many of the big international car hire companies conveniently located near the station. Avis Rent-a-car even offers vehicles with GPS navigation for those not as yet familiar with the area. Their rentals are not limited to just the city area but are available for long-term, long trips as well. You can find representatives from Hertz, Alamo, National, and Budget Rent-a-car also in close proximity to the Fulham Station. Most will provide pickup at the Station to bring you to their offices so you don’t have to spend time walking to your car hire.
Among other local and specialized car hire businesses around Fulham Station, you might need Van Hire London, which provides larger vehicles for use in moving freight as well as passengers around. London Traffic Cars gives you the option of renting a car for hire to drive yourself or you may take advantage of their taxi service as well.
It should be noted, especially for foreign or out of town visitors, that many areas of the city have a “Congestion Fee” that must be paid for any vehicle travelling in that area. Some of the Fulham car hire companies have arrangements that will automatically include this in your rental fee while others do not. Always remember to check with the car hire representative to know if you are already covered or need to add that expense to your budget for the car hire.

Everybody has heard of Fulham. Every fortnight, the area gets descended upon by thousands of football fans from all around the world to watch the local team play. The meteoric rise of Fulham FC from the lower regions of the football league to the heady heights entertaining the likes of Athletic Madrid and Manchester United is one which many other teams hope to emulate. After nearly a decade of surviving in the Premier League, the arrival of Roy Hodgson has seen Fulham transform into a top 8 side, mixing it up with the more household teams of Liverpool and Arsenal. Craven Cottage has become something of a fortress in recent years with teams fearing a trip to the stadium; it always promises to be a tough match against a team fuelled by self belief and desire to be victorious. Because of these qualities, the team which could only claw together a few thousand fans merely 15 years ago is now entertaining a packed stadium of people who not only hope the team will win, but are coming to expect it.
Such is the popularity of the club that the car parking facilities have to be incredibly good in order to be able to cater for the tens of thousands of fans. The parking is always very cheap regardless of the day and you can always find a space, in spite of the demand that there is! In fact, it is much easier to drive to a Fulham match and park than it is to drive to Stamford Bridge across the river!

Car parking in Fulham isn’t quite as plentiful as other boroughs in London, but if you know where to look there are some real gems to be had. The best one to be found is on Pembroke Road which is an underground facility open from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday. Unfortunately the car park isn’t open Saturday and Sunday and hourly rates are not available – full day parking is £20 for cars and £4 for motorcycles. London Kensington Marriot Hotel has parking that can be used and, unlike the previous one, is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Charges here start at 2 hours for £6 and go up to £30 for 12 to 24 hours. The downside to this one is that there are only 25 bays – you’ll have to be lucky to get a space here!
Another car park to try is on Young Street which again is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, but with slightly heavier charges; 2 hours here will cost you £8 and you’ll need £32 if you want to park for more than 12 hours. This car park is 10 times the size of the previous one, so parking here should, in theory at least, be a lot easier. If you’re still struggling for parking, the final place you’ll want to try (as the other car parks are getting further and further away from Fulham) is the Olympia Hotel Car Park which is more expensive again; 2 hours will cost you £10 and 12 to 24 hours is £35 – this is located in Kensington however!

The recession has hit people hard and there is no longer an endless supply of disposable income to spend on a hire car when you arrive in Fulham. Gone are the days when you’d be able to flash the cash and get whichever car took your fancy; there are not many places left where you’ll be able to find an excellent selection of cars for affordable prices.
However, luckily Fulham is one of these places. The car hire company understands that people don’t have money anymore and are not going to punish you because of the errors of the bankers! It would be incredibly unfair to expect you, upon arrival at Fulham airport, to fork out to hire a car. The cars that you can hire from Fulham airport all come at a very reasonable cost and come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. If you are part of a large family then do not despair; you will be able to hire a 7 seater people carrier in the mould of a Vauxhall Zafira. If, however, you are on your own then there is a wide selection of vehicles that can be obtained, from Fords to Mercedes which means that you won’t have to compromise! The cost is kept low to ensure that you will be able to afford the service; after all, it is there to make sure that the whole of London is accessible – it wouldn’t be fair if you didn’t get to see the city simply because you couldn’t afford a car.

No matter how many times people are told about the advantages of parking at the airport, the old stereotypes just won’t go away. The fear of having to remortgage your house to be able to afford to park there for a week, whilst not being the case nowadays, still haunts the minds of many who need transport to and from the airport. For those who decide to park, the journey home couldn’t be easier – they will just get in their car and drive themselves home without any hassle. For people who do not have access to a car, the only feasible option is to catch a taxi home (the train service is, of course, one option but given the fact that Britain has a poor record of the trains running to time and at the end of a holiday, the only thing that you want to do is get home as quickly and easily as possible; simply not possible when you are relying on public transport).
Hiring a taxi isn’t as bad as it sounds, and, especially from Fulham airport, it couldn’t be easier. Simply call up the company before you set off and they will be there waiting for you when you arrive. You will find their service incredibly helpful and they will not bat an eyelid if you require anything lifting or carrying and will be more than happy to facilitate your needs. They will be able to drive you home in comfort which means that you will get home in a good state.

Fulham is one of the wealthiest boroughs in London, home to some of the biggest UK celebrities. This list includes Duffy (the popular UK singer), Jo Frost (presenter of UK TV show SuperNanny), and Sir Roger Moore (actor that played James Bond). This list is almost endless, filled with people in some of the top jobs in the world and some of the most famous people to be seen around London. Naturally, around the borough there are many luxury shops and restaurants. These are a must see if you are going to Fulham.
If you have arrived in Fulham without a car, getting hold of one at the earliest possible opportunity should be at the very front of your mind. London is too large to navigate around by foot, and public transport can be very confusing for an

For many who are looking to find accommodation in London, the price is often a massive stumbling block. House prices have risen sharply and the state of the economy means that unless you have a secure income and can prove it, the banks are unlikely to want to offer you a loan. This has resulted in many first time buyers having incredible difficulty in finding a place at a reasonable price that they are able to buy. We can, therefore, establish that buying a house at the moment is simply out of the question for many. The only other option is to rent accommodation. Notwithstanding the few who tarnish the name of the tenants, the vast majority are very reasonable and, as long as you pay the rent on time, are more than happy to accommodate you.
This is no truer than in Fulham where there are numerous tenants who will be willing to offer you a home for as long as you need it. No matter what you are looking for – whether it is a flat close to your place of work or an apartment with a river view, there is something on offer for you at a price that you can afford with ease. Nowadays, when you are looking to save as much as you possibly can on housing, then renting in Fulham is by far the best option. You are unlikely to find a better offer anywhere in London and, for what you get in return, it is completely worthwhile.

I have been looking into Fulham rent a car lately. I have a car myself but it is not very reliable and I need to make some important journeys for work. They do pay me a travel allowance which would cover the cost of a rental car and I try to save money and use my own. However, it is important that I get to my meetings on time and because my car is no longer reliable, I need to find another way of getting there.
I have seen a lot of good deals for car rental around lately and so I am hoping that if I look in to it, I may be able to find something which is still within my transport budget so that I can still make a bit of a profit on it, like I have done before. I do not need a very big car and so if I do go for the smallest they have, that should save me some money and as long as it is not bright pink or something, I will not mind driving it to my business meetings. In fact it will be nice to be driving a smarter car than mine. I do wash my car so that it looks good in customers car parks but there is no hiding the fact that it is quite old and not really suitable to represent me and my company. I guess I should think about getting a new car really, but at the moment the hire ones will do.
